Gilmer County government primarily consists of five departments or divisions. Other functions of county government are taken care of by other elected constitutional officers such as the Sheriff, Tax Commissioner, Probate Judge, Magistrate Judge, Superior Court Judges, and the Clerk of Superior Court.
