Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services
Much like an insurance policy, we typically take for granted our emergency services until we need them. As an active volunteer firefighter (first trained and certified in 1989), Mark understands exactly what our personnel and apparatus needs are, and what is expected of our county emergency service employees.
Currently underway is the implementation of a Strategic Plan that will place new fire stations in locations as to maximize the improvement in response times and the lowering of homeowners' and structural insurance rates. Mark worked with emergency service officials and his mapping resources to develop this plan in 2007. Upon completion of this plan, many citizens, farmers, and businesses will see reductions of up to 1/3 of their present rates.
